City Services community friendly / community based:
- Better / more flexible hours at the Recreation Department
- City-sponsored after school programs
- More programs for adults after work/weekends
Support local economy / businesses:
- Advocate for retail opportunities in under-served communities
- Encourage others and be examples of patronizing local businesses
- Recognize/identify local businesses with special or unique services
- Recognize/identify local businesses that support the community
Smart spending in the City budget:
- Prevent acting too quickly to spend surplus funds
- Consider increasing services/programs were reduced or cut in previous years
- Evaluate need to increase or bring back services/programs before spending on new ideas
- Distinguish and prioritize spending versus investing.
