  • Better / more flexible hours at the Recreation Department
  • City-sponsored after school programs
  • More programs for adults after work/weekends

Support local economy / businesses:

  • Advocate for retail opportunities in under-served communities
  • Encourage others and be examples of patronizing local businesses
  • Recognize/identify local businesses with special or unique services
  • Recognize/identify local businesses that support the community

Smart spending in the City budget:

  • Prevent acting too quickly to spend surplus funds
  • Consider increasing services/programs were reduced or cut in previous years
  • Evaluate need to increase or bring back services/programs before spending on new ideas
  • Distinguish and prioritize spending versus investing.
