About Alicia
Having grown up in Detroit, Michigan, I decided to make an adventurous move to Silicon Valley well over a decade ago, making Mountain View my new home.
My passion for serving the community began in my teen years, participating and leading in diversity youth camps and forums, and attended the only high school in the city that offered a four-year community radio/television curriculum. This curriculum provided audio and video services to several programs on our local PBS station. These opportunities spoke to the importance of being both a leader and a team player, learning that each person involved has an important function and brings unique skills and value to the group.
Service in the Community:

- Commissioner: Mountain View Human Relations Commission (2001-2003, 2005-Present)
- Board of Directors: Mountain View Rotary Club

- Sunnyvale Winter Homeless Shelter for EHC Lifebuilders
- United Way campaign organizer
- Partnership with the Mountain View Police Department in creating a Women's Safety program
- Serving/supporting various programs for special needs children
